About Tran Hong Quan Trading Co., Ltd.

According to the original company profile, Tran Hong Quan Trading Co., Ltd. was established in September 2000 under a registration certificate for a limited liability company with two or more members issued by Hanoi’s Department of Planning and Investment. In its first two years, it traded and assembled motorcycles on a medium scale.

LPG activities

From 2002, its two main activities were liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and short-stay accommodation. In LPG, it imported and stored gas, manufactured cylinders and filled LPG. The source described it as a leader in northern Vietnam’s household gas market and one of the country’s major gas brands. Its infrastructure comprised a storage depot at Dinh Vu Industrial Park, Hai Phong; a gas cylinder manufacturing plant at Pho Noi Industrial Park, Hung Yen; six gas filling plants across northern urban areas; and a distribution network of thousands of retailers in northern urban, rural and midland areas.

Hotel and serviced apartments

In accommodation, it was the investor in the Crowne Plaza West Hanoi five-star hotel and serviced apartment complex at 36 Le Duc Tho Street, My Dinh 2 Ward, Hanoi. At the time of the article, the complex had 393 hotel rooms and 136 serviced apartments and operated under InterContinental Hotels Group’s (IHG) Crowne Plaza brand.
