ITVC Global introduces the following diagram for container inspection under CTPAT:
Inspecting containers before loading is part of supply chain security control under CTPAT. The diagram below illustrates the seven-point inspection method.
Record the container number, inspection date and time, inspector and seal number. Check for structural or locking mechanism tampering and pests. Refrigerated containers have an additional fan housing area to inspect. Retain inspection records with the shipment documentation.
