During Vietnam’s 2011–2015 national programme on energy conservation and efficiency, annual results included savings of around one billion kWh, equivalent to VND 1.6 trillion. Savings over the period were reported as nearly 6% of national energy consumption. These results were achieved through the work of public institutions, individual departments, volunteers and community educators who visited households, together with active public participation.
