On 23 September 2015, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) published ISO 9001:2015, replacing ISO 9001:2008.
At that time, companies operating an ISO 9001:2008 quality management system needed to begin reviewing, updating and transitioning their certification to ISO 9001:2015. The announcement encouraged companies preparing a new system to use ISO 9001:2015 from the initial research and project planning stage.
To support organisations transitioning or developing a new ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, ITVC Global announced its “ISO 9001:2015 interpretation and internal audit skills” course. The course was designed to help participants understand the requirements and conduct internal audits under the new edition, preparing them to plan and implement a quality management system suited to their organisation’s context and improve its effectiveness.

Interpretation and analysis of ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
Internal audit skills for an ISO 9001:2015 quality management system.
The original announcement offered ISO 9001:2015 standard materials and guidance on updating and transitioning editions free of charge.
By the end of training, participants were expected to have the knowledge and understanding needed to apply the standard’s requirements flexibly and effectively when establishing and operating an ISO 9001:2015 quality management system.
The original programme stated that participants would receive an internal auditor training certificate for the course “ISO 9001:2015 interpretation and internal audit skills”.
