ISO 9001:2008 consulting at Nishina Industries Vietnam

Nishina Industries Vietnam selected ITVC Global to consult on developing an ISO 9001:2008 quality management system. Under the plan announced in the original article, the project was expected to start in early April 2015 and target a certification audit at the end of 2015.

Objectives of the consulting project

For a manufacturer, developing a quality management system is an opportunity to clarify work organisation, responsibilities and control requirements. Documentation should support the people carrying out the work and accurately reflect processes, rather than serve only a single audit.

Areas requiring coordination

• Agree on the implementation scope and plan between the company and consultants.
• Review processes, records and product-related requirements.
• Train the staff involved in developing and maintaining the system.
• Track improvements needed before the audit.

The certificate date mentioned in the earlier article was a planned target, not confirmation that certification was achieved. The article introduces Nishina as a Japanese company with a manufacturing history dating back to 1939.
