What is the Higg Index?

Developed by the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC), the Higg Index is a set of tools enabling brands, retailers and manufacturing facilities of all sizes and at different stages of their sustainability journey to measure and assess the sustainability performance of a company or product. It provides a comprehensive overview to help businesses make meaningful improvements for factory workers, local communities and the environment.

About Best Pacific Vietnam

Best Pacific Vietnam was described in the original report as a wholly Hong Kong-invested export processing company supplying customers such as Victoria’s Secret and Triumph. Its products include textiles and webbing.

Factory address: Lots IN4.1.1 and IN4.1.2, Cam Dien–Luong Dien Industrial Park, Luong Dien Commune, Cam Giang District, Hai Duong Province, Vietnam.

Reported workforce: 200–500 employees.

About the project

In March 2020, Best Pacific Vietnam’s management selected ITVC Global as the project consultant. Higg Index (Higg Facility Environmental Module (Higg FEM) Version 3.0).

At the time of the report, the project was progressing well and the company was completing improvements in environmental performance and worker safety.

Project completion was planned for August 2020.

The project marked further progress for ITVC Global’s consulting team in quality, environmental, occupational health and safety, and social responsibility consulting, strengthening customer confidence in its capabilities.
